{family} autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower

You'd think I'd be using this down season to update my blog with my end of 2011 shoots...so what's the hold up?? ;)  Okay, so here is yet another lovely family I had the privilege of working with last year.  Jennifer is a budding photographer herself and it was so fun (if not a little nerve wracking!) to talk shop and share a bit about our common passion!  What a sweet family and beautiful setting...we actually met in Exeter for this shoot where I saw my first ever white squirrel!  I honestly thought they were an urban myth, but low and behold, they do exist!  Haha, simple things give me the biggest pleasures!  Thanks Campbell family, for letting me into your world!

Meet Jennifer, Jody and their beautiful children!  I had so much fun on this shoot. The kids were so funny and everyone was in such great spirits, it felt like an afternoon spent with friends!  As you can imagine with this many family members, scheduling this Fall shoot wasn't easy.  We ended up getting together around noon on a Saturday, which isn't an ideal time for lighting.  I was a little worried when the sun was out so bright and high, but we met at Dalewood Conservation area and the wooded area provided some great open shade to work with.  We were able to get some great shots with back lighting and sun flare and the lingering fall colours made for such a beautiful backdrop.  I was really happy with the outcome, I hope you were too guys!  Sorry in advance for some of the photos being less than tack sharp - I had some resizing issues tonight. Otherwise ,enjoy!

This Fall my family FINALLY made a trip to Ottawa to visit my BFF Aysha.  We went to high school together, and even though she moved to Ottawa for college and never came back, we have remained "pick up the phone and talk like we just saw each other yesterday" kind of friends.  Her and Roger have always been good at visiting this end of the province, but Cam and I haven't made our way to them since they got married in 2004!  The birth of their adorable, sweet, wonderfully beautiful daughter Nina was more than reason enough and I am so glad I got to personally snuggle that little peanut! Love you guys!
